Let me just start off with saying what a beautiful table this. You can tell Alex and his crew took a lot of time and dedication and pride to build this, you don’t see very many tables like this being built by hand. It would look great in any home. Kelly, who was our liaison for this whole process was wonderful to work with, very quick to reply back to any question and answers that I had. When choosing what I wanted the table to look like she sent out walnut samples with different colors so I can view it in my home before choosing. I hope to work with them again in the future.

When originally looking for a table I was browsing through Facebook marketplace and happened to stumble across Alex’s Ad listing. I’ll be honest to say I wasn’t 100% sure it was real. I couldn't be happier with our table ! I've been looking for a solid wood table for a while now, everything online is 3x as expensive & is nothing but crap materials. Between initial communication, getting samples of stain, to final delivery - the process was incredibly easy & I highly recommend this company!! 10/10 would purchase a piece from them again! Working with Alex and Kelly at Southpaw furniture on our custom white oak island and table has been an outstanding experience. From the very first message, they were incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and truly listened to what we wanted. Every step of the way felt collaborative and professional, but also personal- like they genuinely cared about getting it just right for our home.

The quality of the woodworking is on another level. The island and table Alex built for us are absolutely stunning!! Far nicer than anything we were able to find in a store, even at high-end furniture and kitchen showrooms. The details, the craftsmanship, the finish… you can really see and feel the difference. We get so many compliments from everyone who walks into our kitchen.

The process itself was extremely thoughtful and well done. Instead of just sending a picture or a stain chart, they actually shipped us physical samples of the stain on real pieces of wood so we could see exactly how it would look in our space. He worked closely with me to design custom drawer inserts and a custom-sized pull-out, making sure everything functioned perfectly.

Built from solid white oak in our Wisconsin wood shop, this dining table combines traditional furniture construction with a more modern, understated design.

The base features four substantial legs joined by solid white oak aprons, lower stretchers and diagonal cross bracing. The exposed structure isn’t just part of the design—it creates an exceptionally sturdy base built for everyday use for decades to come.

Every table is handcrafted from carefully selected white oak, allowing the natural grain and character of the hardwood to remain the focus. There are no veneers, particle board or manufactured wood anywhere in the table.

Its simple rectangular top and architectural base make it versatile enough for a wide range of homes, from modern and transitional spaces to more traditional interiors.

Like all of our dining tables, it is built one at a time in Wisconsin and can be customized to fit your space.

Key Features

Solid White Oak – Handcrafted in Wisconsin

Constructed from premium (prime grade) white oak. We don’t use any veneers or manufactured wood. It is 100% solid hardwood and it is heavy!

Customizable Sizes

From small formats, up to 10 feet long (message us for a quote on a table that large).

Adjustable Height

By default we make our tables about 30” tall, however we can adjust the height to fit your needs.

Tabletop Thickness

This table features a tabletop thickness of around 1.75 inches. However, we can do up to a 2.25 inch thick top!

Finish and Protection

We use a durable hard wax oil finish on our tabletops. If you are seeking a little extra protection, we are able to offer a water-based polyurethane finish.

Matching Bench

We are able to make a matching bench for any of our tables.

How long will it take to build?

This table will take approximately 5-7 weeks to build from the time an order is placed until it is shipped.

How does shipping work?

These tables are shipped in a custom crate and require a little bit of assembly. Assembly is very easy and straightforward. All you need is a screw driver and two people to work together to maneuver the tabletop and flip it over once assembled.

These are shipped using freight shipping. The carrier will set a delivery appointment with you directly and they will arrive in a truck with a lift-gate. They will unload the crate and place it outside of your house using a pallet jack.

If anything arrives damaged, we repair or remake it. Period.
